The Service
RedactionPDF provides an online tool for permanently removing sensitive content from PDF documents. Files are uploaded to temporary cloud storage, processed server-side using PyMuPDF, and automatically deleted after processing. The service is provided "as is" without any warranty beyond what is legally required.
Acceptable Use
- Permanently removing sensitive information from your own PDFs
- Redacting financial documents, contracts, and legal papers
- Cleaning metadata from documents before sharing
- Preparing documents for upload to AI tools
- Removing personal information from resumes and CVs
Prohibited Use
- Uploading documents you do not own or have rights to
- Attempting to redact content in corrupted or password-protected PDFs
- Using automated tools to upload and process large volumes of files
- Reselling or redistributing the redaction service
- Attempting to interfere with the service or its infrastructure

RedactionPDF is a technical tool, not a legal service. We do not advise on what content should be redacted for legal or compliance purposes. Consult a qualified attorney for legal guidance.
No Compliance Certification
Using RedactionPDF does not guarantee regulatory compliance. We do not claim HIPAA, GDPR, SOC2, ISO, or any other compliance certification. It is your responsibility to determine applicable requirements.
"As Is" Basis
The service is provided without warranties beyond what is legally required. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free processing for all PDF files.
Your Documents
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to redact the content in any PDF you upload. We do not verify document ownership or rights.
