Is redaction different from blacking out text?
Yes. A black box may only cover text visually, while real redaction removes the selected content from the output file.
Does RedactionPDF remove PDF metadata?
Yes. The workflow can clean standard metadata such as author, creator, timestamps, subject, keywords and custom fields.
Can automatic detection redact my PDF by itself?
No. Detection only suggests sensitive items. Users review and choose what to add as redaction boxes before applying redaction.
What sensitive data can be detected in text-based PDFs?

Does this support scanned PDFs or OCR?
